Your customers know before they walk in
Swiss data protection law requires that you inform people about video surveillance, including who is responsible and how to reach them. The Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) recommends a clearly visible sign for this. This sign has the notice, your company and the contact ready, you only fill in your details.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions
Does the sign have to say who is filming?
People should be able to see that they are filmed and whom to contact. With name and contact on the sign, that question is answered on the spot. What applies in your case is on the FDPIC page "Video Surveillance by Private Individuals".
Is the sign enough on its own?
The sign informs, nothing more. What the camera may film and how long recordings are kept is a separate question. Our guide sums up the rules; if in doubt, ask a specialist.
Can I change every line?

What sets the three styles apart?
