Pictogram or with text?
The square sign shows only the symbol, from 100 × 100 to 600 × 600 mm, such as «Betreten verboten» as a pictogram. In portrait your text stands below the symbol, from A7 to 495 × 700 mm, such as «Rauchen verboten» with text.
What there is
No entry, no smoking, no eating and drinking, no photos, no dogs and animals, no bicycles, «Glace essen verboten» for ice cream, no barbecues and fires, no dumping, no snow dumping and no parking on private land. For car parks there are the no parking signs in landscape with your text, also with a tow-away symbol, and as lawn stakes «Rasen nicht betreten» or «Privat».

Frequently asked questions
What does ISO 7010 mean?
ISO 7010 is the international standard for safety signs. A prohibition sign is a red ring with a bar, the symbol black on white, so it is understood without words.
Can I charge fines with the sign?
A sign alone is not enough: on private land it is a notice, not an official signal. For fines you need a court ban, which you apply for at the competent court.
Which size for which distance?
On a door, A5 or A4 is enough. If the sign is read from several metres, at a drive for example, take A3 or larger.
