Frequently asked questions
Is a video surveillance notice compulsory?
Swiss data protection law requires that people are informed about video surveillance, including who is responsible and how to reach them. The Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) recommends a clearly visible sign naming the responsible party. Which details your case needs, clarify with a specialist if in doubt.
Is the sign enough on its own?
The sign informs, nothing more. What the camera may film and how long recordings are kept is a separate question. Our guide sums up the rules; if in doubt, ask a specialist.
Can I change the text?
Yes, you adjust the lines of text in the editor, such as company, contact or the sentence about the area. The preview shows the sign as it will be printed.
Didn't find the right one?
Describe your sign. General designs are made free of charge and added to the shop.
