A warning that doesn't scare
A dog at the gate surprises strangers and sometimes frightens children. The sign announces it before anyone reaches for the handle. With a wink, the dog in the hoodie says: a dog lives here, be considerate. It doesn't say: stay away.
Retriever, boxer or your own dog
For the motif, choose the light retriever on warm beige or the boxer on grey. Want the one who really barks on guard at the gate? Replace the picture with a photo of your dog: "Use your own photo", upload it (with your Schildwerk account) and set its size and position. "Reset" brings the motif back.
For a sharp photo
Use a picture with a light, calm background, taken at the dog's eye level. The editor shows whether the resolution is enough for the chosen size. A full-resolution phone photo is enough for most formats.
Where it goes
- on the garden gate or fence
- next to the front door or letterbox
- at a yard entrance where deliveries come through
Tip
Sign or film? For a metal garden gate the sign with drill holes is ideal. For a glass door or the letterbox choose "self-adhesive film only". No fence? With a post the sign stands on its own in the garden. Goes well with: "I have to be on the lead here" for the path along your property, and if you like it classic, take "Beware of the dog".
