Personalise your sign
Standard safety and road signs keep their standard colors so everyone understands them at once.
You then design freely: logo and pictures anywhere, the size stays fixed. This template stays unchanged.
Warnschild «Achtung Dachlawine»
After the first warm day, snow slides off the roof, often right where people walk and cars stand. Warn before it comes down.

Danger from above
Snow sliding off a roof comes without warning. A few hundred kilos of wet snow are enough to dent a car roof or injure someone. The sign warns where pedestrians pass under the eaves or cars park along the facade.
Where it goes
- at entrances and pavements along buildings
- at car parks and bike shelters under roof edges
- at hotels, restaurants and holiday flats in the mountains
Good to know
A warning sign doesn't replace snow guards or clearing the roof. As an owner you're liable for your building (Art. 58 Swiss Code of Obligations). The sign does show that you pointed out the danger. Hang it at eye level, clearly visible ahead of the danger zone. If icicles hang from the roof edge too, "Danger, roof avalanches and icicles" warns of both.
