Cows protect their calves
Suckler cows defend their calves, especially against dogs. Many hikers don't know that. The sign at the pasture fence or gate says so in four languages and names the key rules: keep your distance, don't touch the calves, dogs on a lead.
Where it goes
- at pasture gates and passages
- on fences along paths
- at alpine farms and farm shops with pasture
Good to know
The sign is our own design. A warning sign replaces neither the fence nor the keeper's care. On official hiking trails, agree the location with the municipality. For dog owners, take the multilingual "Dogs on a lead" sign. From three signs in the same material, the combination discount applies.
